Kevin Jarvis
Known for his excellent control and competitiveness, Kevin Jarvis made his major league debut with the Cincinnati Reds in
1994. The Lexington native pitched for Tates Creek High School before attending Wake Forest University as a scholarship baseball player. An
outstanding career at Wake caught the attention of pro scouts and opened the door to a career as a professional baseball player. In 2001, Kevin
was 12-11 with the San Diego Padres and struck out 133 opposing batters while logging 193 innings. He had a solid major league career while
pitching for the Reds, Padres, Rockies, Mariners, Diamondbacks and Red Sox.
