Johnnie LeMaster
Johnnie played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues, including 10 for the San Francisco Giants. He was drafted in the first
round by the Giants in 1973 and was the sixth pick in the draft. In Johnnie’s first Major League at bat, he hit an inside the park home run- a feat
no one else has ever accomplished. Known for his quickness, defensive skills and his strong arm, Johnnie stole 39 bases and stroked over 100
hits in 1983. Johnnie has been involved with baseball in several capacities since retiring as a player, including a stint as head baseball coach at
Pikeville College.
