Jeff Parrett
After finishing stellar careers at Lafayette H.S. and the University of Kentucky, Jeff Parrett enjoyed a successful career in the
majors with several teams. In 1991, he helped the Braves win the National League Pennant, the Athletics win the 1992 American League Western
Division, and the Cardinals win the 1996 National League Central Division. During his 10-year major league career, he was 12-4 for the Expos
in ’88, 12-6 for the Phillies in ’89 and 9-1 for the Oakland A’s in ’92. During the ’92 season in the bullpen with Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley,
he may have been the best set up man in the American League. Jeff is one of the 14 former Kentucky Wildcat pitchers who made a significant
mark as a major leaguer.
